Your Responsibilities and Expected Results

  • Analyze the HC/PC/FC market in terms of opportunities to develop business with customers all over Europe
  • Identify and approach target customers to position Manuchar Europe as a top partner for their sourcing, supply-chain and added value requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies based on gathered market intelligence.
  • Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers and screen potential business opportunities in line with defined strategies.
  • Expand our product portfolio and develop and maintain the necessary supplier network.
  • Build, lead, and guide a sales network in function of the defined commercial strategy and targets.
  • Assist customers with technical support as a relay between supplier and market, which can also be through short visits abroad.
  • Attend industry related conferences, fairs and events.
  • Make sure that all processes, procedures, and logistics are compliant and meet all related standards.
  • Be a key team member of the related GBDT’s (global business development team).
  • Draft the yearly budget (volume, turnover, margin, direct costs) and the 5 year business plan.
  • Track performance and report metrics on a monthly base.
  • Report to the managing director of Manuchar Europe.

 

Required Specific Knowledge, Skills & Tools

  • It is mandatory to have a commercial and economical mindset with a genuine interest in the technical aspect of the job.
  • A commercial background in HC/PC/FC is an important asset.
  • You obtained a Master degree in economics or equivalent.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience in a commercial environment, ideally related to business development.
  • You have a good knowledge, experience and clear interest in HC/PC/FC, supply chain and related, specific logistics, procedures, …
  • You are fluent in English and you have a good knowledge of Dutch and preferably French.
  • Excellent communicator, verbal and written.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources.
  • You are not afraid of building a business from scratch.
