Compensation and Benefits & Payroll Responsible

As Compensation and Benefits & Payroll Responsible you will join our dynamic and international HR team in our HQ in Merksem (Belgium). You will play one of the key roles in the HR team by ensuring operational and implementation focused day-to-day support.

What will be your responsibilities?

Payroll coordination:

  • You are responsible for oversight of the payroll function.
  • You are responsible for the payroll strategy and having optimal and documented payroll processes, in close collaboration with the local payroll service provider.
  • You supervise and support the daily follow-up the daily payroll operations, mainly done by our HR Generalist.
  • You manage the contracts with self-employed workers
  • You maintain and utilize data to provide meaningful, accurate information to the HR team/HR Manager.
  • You report and analyze payroll and other HR related data (vacation, sickness, overtime)
  • You are a point of contact for all staff members on personnel-related questions; advising colleagues, management and employees regarding social legislation.

C&B:

  • You are responsible for the development, implementation and management of our (local and international) Comp&Ben strategy;
    • Revision of the current reward strategy
    • Implementation of a flex plan and annual evaluation thereof
    • Management of the bike lease and car plan
    • Calculation of the expert processes such as CAO90 bonus and end of year premium
    • Insights on global salary benchmarks
    • Development and implementation of new grading model
    • Management of the payroll suppliers
    • Implementation and optimization of the HRIS around the employee HR data
    • Follow up on trends in the market and changes in social legislation
  • You manage the HR budget by keeping track of headcount.
  • You coordinate the hiring of expats and are responsible for the optimization of the expat remuneration
  • You are responsible for record keeping of the contracts of top management of our affiliates worldwide
  • You manage the employee benefit insurances, together with our insurance broker
  • You participate in other HR-related projects

Qualifications and competencies :

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Work Psychology, Labor Sciences or any relevant field (e.g. Management, Political Sciences)
  • 5 – 7 years of experience as (Senior) Payroll Specialist, or C&B Specialist
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and Comp&Ben, and eager to learn more
  • Dynamic, proactive, hands-on approach eager to take initiative and result-oriented
  • Analytical mindset and a high level of ownership
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English. Any other language is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and management of multiple priorities
